1. Website owner

In accordance with article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI), these are the details of the owner of sintoga.com and of the app app.sintoga.com («Sintoga»):

2. What Sintoga is

Sintoga is a platform that connects people who have legal questions with verified law students, who guide them in a private chat. Law professors and qualified lawyers may review those conversations to give the students feedback. Law firms may post internships and jobs, and receive people who, after their consultation, ask to be contacted by a lawyer.

Asking on Sintoga is free.

3. Answers are not legal advice

The people who answer on Sintoga are law students, not lawyers. Their answers are for guidance and training purposes only: they are not professional legal advice, they do not create a lawyer-client relationship and they do not replace consulting a qualified lawyer. Supervision by a professor or review by a lawyer, where it happens, does not turn an answer into professional advice either.

Before taking a decision with legal consequences, or if your matter has an upcoming deadline, consult a lawyer. If you ask, Sintoga can put you in touch with a law firm.

4. Terms of use

When using Sintoga you agree:

Sintoga may remove content and suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or the law.

5. Liability

Each user is responsible for the content they post. Sintoga verifies students, professors and lawyers by the means described on the platform (university email, manual review or public registers), but does not guarantee that answers are accurate and is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of them.

When Sintoga puts you in touch with a law firm, any relationship you establish with it is independent of Sintoga, which takes no part in its services or fees.

Sintoga does what is reasonable to keep the service running and secure, but cannot guarantee this at all times.

6. Intellectual property

The Sintoga brand, logo, design and code belong to its owner and may not be reproduced or used without permission.

The content you post remains yours. By posting it you allow Sintoga to display it within the platform to the extent needed to provide the service, as explained in the privacy policy.

7. Links to other sites

Sintoga may link to third-party sites (for example, LinkedIn profiles or law firm websites). Sintoga does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence. For any question or complaint, write to us at support@sintoga.com.
